The  house is 5 minutes’ from the villages of Santanyi  and Alqueria Blanca in the southeast 'corner' of the island. The beaches of  the Parc Natural de Mondrago and Cala Llombards are less than 15 minutes’ drive. The house is in a small group of farmhouses, among almond fields bordered by wild flowers, well away from busy roads. The drive from Palma airport is around 45 minutes and it takes an hour to the centre of Palma from the house.

On the coast between Colonia Sant Jordi and Cala D’Or there are many beautiful beaches and small fishing ports to explore. Scuba diving, wind surfing, horse riding and a sailing school as well as boat trips, speed boat and bicycle hire are all available nearby. There are also tennis courts in Santanyi and an 18-hole golf course at Val D’Or near Porto Colom.

The nearest touristy town, Cala D’Or is 20 minutes’ drive and is ideal for teenagers in search of night life. Santanyi has live music a few times a week and there are frequent cultural events and traditional fiestas in the surrounding villages.
