This picturesque traditional finca rustica, Spanish for country house, is located on the southeast rural plain of Mallorca. With delightful sandy beaches, charming sleepy harbours and villages within easy reach, the house has its own grounds with a mature garden and field, two terraces with sunset and field views and a clean and well-kept swimming pool finished off with blue mosaic tiles.

The finca is ideal for families, couples or groups of friends who want to soak up the traditional Majorcan tranquility. There are several villages close by with artisan shops, neighbourhood bars, restaurants, supermarkets and colourful markets where you can stock up with delicious, locally grown country produce.

The house is about 350 years old and has been renovated using local materials and retains many of its original features. The main house sleeps seven and is equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine. The small house (casita) sleeps four and is in the garden, just across from the main house. There are pretty walks in the lanes around the house with meadows full of sheep and almond trees and breath-taking coastal walks not far away.

From a quiet morning coffee in the village of Santanyi or an ensaimada pastry from the local baker at Alqueria Blanca, to long walks on the lighthouse beach and relaxing swims in the clear turquoise waters off Cala Mondrago you’re sure to have a perfect break. Lazing around the pool and having long, unhurried meals under the awning on the terrace and then a quiet siesta, you will soon find yourself unwinding and slipping into the peaceful rhythms of the Balearics – ‘the islands of peace’.
