KENWOOD DAIRY RESTORATION TRUST
Caring for Kenwood Garden Party
held on Saturday 16 June
Visitors to Kenwood were invited to find out more about the ‘Caring for Kenwood’ programme which includes the historic Dairy
Activities were focussed in three areas: inside the house, the flower lawn and the Dairy.
As the house was empty of contents at this point, but not yet scaffolded, tours of the house were offered, giving visitors an exclusive opportunity to see behind the scenes, and informing them about the plans for each room .
The main area for the garden party was on the flower lawn, where there were stands providing information about the project, games and education activities, and a Company of Cooks hosted tea lawn area where actors in costume told tales of Kenwood over tea.
At the Dairy, eighteenth century dairy maids created the historic butter-making techniques, and told visitors about the history of the farm at Kenwood
